“The National Independent Bloc is inspired by liberal democratic ideas and delegating the future free will of the people the definition of the order of the state as well as its organic structure, directs all its efforts to free Albania from the domination of imperialist communism. It brings together the greatest and most qualified exponents of Albanian politics and many of the most representative men of national culture. Its board of directors is made up entirely of young men who now face the political scene for the first time, enlivened by the most vigorous intentions of bringing together the healthy forces of the nation in a single purpose, to bring Albania back into the family of Western nations. From 1946 they published the newspaper “L’Albanie Libre“, which was for many years the only voice of the anticommunist exiles.”
