After the formation of the National Independent Bloc – Bloku Kombetar Independent (BKI), in 1946, major events began to occur in the fight to free the homeland. The ties which bound the members of the BKI with the Catholic Church are deep and throughout their struggles while in exile they always relied on the support of the Holy See and her emissaries.
