This biographical list dates between 1950-1952 and is among the documents of the personal library of Kapidan Ndue Gjon Gjomarkaj.

The references to “Tele Nik” are referring to telegrams which were sent to Italy from Kol Cuni “Nik“, who played one of the most important roles in the fight against the communists as a member of the BKI.

NDOCI DODE (DODE MARKA NDOCI): From Kallmet (Zadrima), 56 years old, married. Notable in the area, very good and enjoys a lot of influence. He rendered his services to the group of Gjon Gjinaj’s mission.

NDOCI GJON (GJON ZEF NDOCI): From Kodra of Spac (Bajrak Spac), 25 years old, married. Is a landowner, notable in that area and his family is well known in all of Mirdita. Is very well liked and has a lot of influence. His brother Frano was shot by the communists and another one named Ndue languishes in prison. Gjon Zef Ndoci rendered his service with fearless valor to the group of Gjon Gjinaj’s mission.

NDOCI PJETER (PJETER NDOCI): Born in Shkodra, Albania is around 50 years old. Married with children. Ex-Captain 1^st Class of the Albanian Bureau of Gendarmerie, where he served with honesty, loyalty and action. Fierce anti-communist and was therefore dismissed by the communist regime. See Tele Nik of 9.9.1950.

NDOJ ZEF (ZEF NDOJ): Married, teacher of elementary school. Was an informant for the group of Nik’s mission, see Tele Nik of 17.1.50. Was killed by the communists, Tele Nik 3.2.50.

NDOU MARKA (MARKA NDUE BAJRAKTARI): From Kushne, Mirdita, married with two girls. He fell in 1949 fighting in the mountains against the communists. Tele Nik 16.1.50.

NDRECA ZEF (ZEF NDUE NDRECA): 33 Years old from Xhuxhe, area of Zalli i Xhuxhe, married, Non-commissioned Officer, specifically of the ex-Royal Guard. Was in Rome from 1939 to 1943. Repatriated and became a teacher in the elementary school of Qafe e Malit. Very good, loyal and audacious. While in hiding he served in Nik’s mission; see Tele 11.1.50. During one of his missions he was killed by the communists; see Tele Nik 18.7.1951. Extremely useful individual, painful loss.

NDRECA ZEF (ZEF LLESH NDRECA): Around 50 years old from Xhuxhe, area of Bizbeze, Fand, Mirdita, married with children. He fought against the communists in 1944, very good, loyal and audacious. Notable who is very well liked and has a lot of influence, except that finding himself in the service of Gjon’s mission, see Tele Nik 18.7.1951, he was killed while performing his duties. His son was also killed by the communists.

NDRECA NDREC (NDRECA MARKA NDRECA): Shot by the communists in retaliation to the killing of Bardhok Biba, see Tele Nik 4.11.1950.

NDRECA NDUE (NDUE DOD NDRECA): 36 years old from Fand, Mirdita, married. Rendered service to the group of Gjon Gjinaj’s mission.

NIKAJ NIKOLLE (NIKOLLE MARK NIKAJ): Son of Mark and Dile Lulashaj, born in Gurze, Kruja on 15.11.1925, married, farmer. He served in the artillery from 17.1.47 to 8.8.47, when he deserted and went to Greece. He fought against the communists from July 1943 to September 1944. Very good, valiant and audacious. He volunteered to take part in the mission heading to Albania, where he parachuted on 27.12.1949 and fought without worrying about the dangers he was undertaking and the risk of losing his life. He knows the areas of Kruja, Alessio, Koplik (where his maternal uncles live), Boga and Dukagjin. Later he deserted wanting to join his beautiful wife in Gurze, consequently no more news on his whereabouts have been received. This happened on 20.12.1950. Tele Nik March 2, 1951.

NIKOLLA ZEF (ZEF NIKOLLA): From Iballe (Puka), 35 years old. Is a communist and cousin of Kol Bib Mirakaj. Tele Nik 20.2.1950.

NIKOLLI PRENG (PRENG SHKURT NIKOLLI): From Orosh, married with one son. He was tried and shot by the communists. Tele Nik 4.2.1950.

OROSHI GJON (GJON GJETE OROSHI): Around 50 years old from Orosh, Mirdita, married with children. Landowner, very good and audacious, also knows Kosovo very well as he lived there for many years. Is very well liked by everyone and became an informer for Nik’s mission. See Tele Nik 17.1.50.

OSMANI RAM (RAM OSMANI): Around 50 years old from Fand, Mirdita, married. Rendered his service to the group of Gjon Gjinaj’s mission.

PALOKA PJETER (PJETER PALOKA): Around 50 years old from Kacinari, Bajrak of Dibra, married. Went into hiding and in a skirmish with the communists was killed. Tele Nik 16.1.50.

PALOKA NDUE (NDUE PALOKA): Around 35 years old from Kacinari, Mirdita, married. Was in hiding along with his two brothers and fighting heroically against the communists all three were killed.

PALUCA PALE (PALE CUP PALUCA): Around 40 years old from Qafa e Malit, Bajrak of Spac, married with children. Merchant, was very wealthy, known in all of Mirdita as well as Puka. Individual who enjoyed great influence, volunteered as informant to the group of Nik’s mission. See Tele Nik 17.1.1950. During the function of his duties he was killed by the communists. Tele Nik July 1951.

PALUCA ZEF (ZEF PALUCA): From Qafa e Malit, Bajrak of Spac, Mirdita, around 60 years old, married with children, merchant. Very good person who also enjoys great influence. Well known even in other Bajraks, as well as Puka. Friend of Pal Bib Mirakaj; he rendered his service to Gjon’s mission. The services were rendered via word of mouth from his own home.

PECI PJETER (PJETER PECI): Around 60 years old from Zadrima, married with children, landowner. Him and his family are well known in Zadrima as well as Mirdita and Shkodra. Very good individual who is well liked by everyone and is very influential. He rendered his services to the group in Gjon Gjinaj’s mission as an informant while living in his residence.

PEPA KOLE (KOLE PEPA): Around 35 years old from Shkodra, Albania. Ex-Lieutenant in the Army but was dismissed for being an anti-communist by the actual Bolshevik regime. Tele Nik 9.9.1950.

PERDEDA NDUE (NDUE PERDEDA): Around 30 years old from Gojan, Bajrak of Spac, Mirdita, married, landowner. Is notable, and him as well as other members of his family are very well known. He himself is very good and enjoys great influence. His older brother languishes in prison, and he himself was also imprisoned before 1947 in Shkodra. He rendered his services as informant to the group of Gjon Gjinaj’s mission while remaining in his residence.

PERGJONI MARKA (MARKA NDUE PERGJONI): From Kalivac, Bajark Dibra, around 40 years old, married with children, landowner. He, as well as members of his family, are very well known in that area. He’s good and is very well liked. His older brother, Gjon, languishes in prison. He rendered services to the group of Gjon Gjinaj’s mission as an informant while living in his residence.

PERLLESHI NDUE (NDUE DEDE PERLLESHI): From Vrrithi of Kashnjetit, Bajrak of Dibra, around 50 years old, married with children. Landowner, very well known in his area as well as influential.

PERNDOCA DOD (DOD BIB PERNDOCA): From the village of Domgjon of Fand, brother of the Bajraktar of Fand, Ndue Bib Perndocaj, 45 years old, a man of large and strong influence among his people, non-commissioned officer of the Gendarmerie, brave and sensible. While in hiding, he was killed during a skirmish with the communists. Tele Nik 16.1.1950.

PERNDOCA NDUE (NDUE BIB PERNDOCA): Around 50 years old from Domgjon, Fand, Mirdita. He was Bajrakta of Fand and ex-honorary Lieutenant during the Zog¹ regime. He fought against the communists in 1944 and is the brother of the aforementioned Dod, who was killed by the communists. Ndue is very good, valiant and audacious as well as very well liked by everyone and has great influence. For these qualities he is known in all the Bajraks of Mirdita. He rendered his services to the group of Gjon Gjinaj’s mission.

PERVUKA ZEF (ZEF DOD PERVUKA): Around 30 years old from Orosh, Mirdita, single, resourceful and very active. Operated in the Kruja area. He was killed during a skirmish with the communists. Tele Nik 16.1.50.

PER ZEFI (PER ZEFI): From Korthpula. Must be very young. His father is, or was, a man of sure feelings. This family has many ties in the area of Zadrima. Very useful individual for our needs.

PJETRI ZEF (ZEF DOD PJETER LLESHI): From the village of Xhuxhe, area of Sholth, Bajrak of Fand, around 30 years old, son of Dod Pjeter Lleshi, learned, courageous and loyal. His brother is ex-Captain of the Army. Zef Dod Pjeter Lleshi fell during a skirmish with the communists while carrying out his duties in support of the mission. For Zef see Tele Nik 11.1.1950.

PER ZEFI LUKE (LUKE PER ZEFI): Around 35 years old from Dibra, Mirdita, married. Went into hiding to fight the communists, he is now in Jugoslavia.

PJETRI ZEF (ZEF KOL PJETRI): From Skuraj, Malcija e Krues, around 50 years old, married. His family is well known not only in Kruja, but also in Mirdita and Mati. Very capable and influential. Related to Kapidan Gjon Marka Gjoni. Finds himself in his house and has rendered services to the group of Gjon Gjinaj’s mission.

PJETRA JAKE (JAKE PJETRA): From Iballe, Puka. In the message only Jake is mentioned while there are two more brothers, one named Stake Pjetra, see following. They are of the best and best known family in the area. Jake was a very courageous officer of the Gendarmerie and is a very energetic man and mentioned for organizing many insurrections. Both brothers exercise strong influence in the area of Puka and are well known even in other mountain areas in the North. At one time they were very wealthy and well received by everyone.

PJETRA STAK (STAK PJETRA): Brother of the aforementioned Jake Pjetra. Since the message only mentioned Jake, we spoke of them both above.

PJETRA NDREK (NDREK PJETRA): Around 40 years old from Berisbe. Married. He’s not among the notables.

PJETRI NIKOLL (NIKOLL DOD PJETRI): 38 years old from Fand, Mirdita, married. Captain of the actual communist government.

PJETRI NIKOLL (NIKOLL PJETRI): Around 20 years old from Spac, Mirdita. He was killed in a skirmish against the communists.

PJETRI PRENG (PRENG MARKA PJETRI): Around 45 years old from Blinishti, Bajrak of Kashne, married with children. Landowner, is very well known in his area and very good. Influential and very well liked by everyone. It was learned, having been acquitted, that he rendered service to Gjon Gjinaj’s mission from his home.

PISTULLI LORO (LORO PISTULLI of PJETER): Around 70 years old from Shkodra, Albania, married with children. Belongs to the great merchant family of Shkodra. On of his brothers was Regent of Albania in 1922 and later Minister of State. A man of proven anti-communist sentiments who before now was never involved in politics. From Nik’s message, based on the reports from the known Hil Shllaku, he is being qualified as a fierce anti-communist. His properties have been confiscated by the communist government and his merchant business has been prohibited. He also belongs to a family which always partook in City Councils from the time of the Turkish occupation, without exclusion. He enjoys influence even in the areas surrounding Shkodra.

PLANI NDOC (NDOC KEL PLANI): Around 35 years old from Shkodra, Albania. Ex-Captain of the Army, he went to the Military Accademy in Modena. A good officer, cultured, of good character and loyal. From Nik’s message dated 9.9.1950, because he’s anti-communist, he was dismissed from the service. Very useful individual for our needs.

PRECI TUSH (TUSH PRECI): 53 years old from Shepal, Berisha, married with children. Is brother to Kol Preci and belongs to a notable family. Tush Preci is adoptive brother to the deceased Pashuk Mirakaj.

PREKA GJON (GJON PREKA of ISMAJLI): Around 45 years old from the village of Midhe, Bajrak of Terthore (Kabashi), married with children. Is well known in that area, very good and enjoys influence. During the Zog regime he was Sargeant Major and Commandant of the Gendarmerie Station. During the anti-communist resistance in 1944 he was elevated to Captain.

PRENDI BARDHOK (BARDHOK PRENDI): Around 35 years old from Milot, married. Ex-officer of the Army, rendered service to the group of Gjon Gjnaj’s mission.

PRENDI NIKOLL (NIKOLL MARKA PRENDI): Around 50 years old from the village of Flet of Iballe, Puka, married. He is a close relative of Gjon Mehilli and also loyal, he can be trusted. He’s currently a refugee in Jugoslavia.

PRENDUSHI MIKEL (MIKEL PRENDUSHI of TUKE): Around 35 years old from Shkodra, Albania. Ex-Captain of the Army, studied at the Military Accademy in Modena. He was an aide at the Shkodra Garrison under the leadership of Lt. Colonel Luigi Mikeli, even in 1944 when the General Command of the operation was led by the deceased Mark Gjomarkaj, he himself in Shkodra. Very good officer, faithful and very useful for our missions. Friend of Kapidan Gjon Marka Gjoni. He was dismissed. Tele Nik 9.9.50.

QEHAJA ESAT (ESATO QEHAJA): Ex-under Lieutenant of the Army who was dismissed for being anti-communist. Tele Nik 9.9.1950.

RADOVANI NDOC (NDOC RADOVANI of GJOK e MARIE SIMONI): Around 35 years old, married with two daughter, was born in Shkodra, Albania. Ex-Officer of the Gendarmerie who also rendered service during the Union in the 1944 era, at which time he resigned because he couldn’t stand his superiors who were two-faced. He has served both in the North and in the South of Albania in various locations, which gave him the opportunity to acquire a lot of knowledge of those areas, as well as experience very useful for our purposes. A bitter anti-communist, he preferred to devote himself to trade after the resignation. A friend of Kapidan Gjon Marka Gjoni. The Enver Hoxha regime was also ready to dismiss him. Tele Nik 9.9.1950.

RAMA DERVISH (DERVISH RAMA): Around 50 years old from Milot, married. Ex candidate for the Gendarmerie. From 1947 has been in his residence without work.

RASHA PJETER (PJETER RASHA of NDOC): Around 50 years old from Shkodra, Albania, married with two sons and one daughter, who is married to a communist Captain. Ex-Captain 1^st Class. Director of Recruitment Office. We have nothing about his tendencies.

REXHA NDUE (NDUE REXHA): Around 40 years old from Bugjon, married. Is Bajraktar of Bugjon as well as nephew of Frrok Bajraktari. He has four brothers.

RUSTEMI ALI (ALI RUSTEMI): Around 40 years old from Trueni, married with children. Is a landowner and very well known in his area. Very audacious and is adoptive brother of Pal Bib Mirakaj.

RROKU FILIP (FILIP RROKU): Ex-under Lieutenant of the Army, dismissed from service for being anti-communist. Tele Nik 9.9.1950.
