An American Historian in Mirdita

In early February 2024 I was contacted by an American gentleman who had been reading about Albania and was interested in learning about the anti-communist resistance involvement after coming across this website. John Posey is a historian and researcher of historic battles worldwide. He travelled to Mirdita later that month and met with the local historian tour guide, Gjovalin Marfana, who translated the interview which follows.

Thank you John for your interest in Albania and shedding some much needed light on the brave men and women of the anti-communist resistance during the period of 1944-1955.
